Louisville. Ky.. May 8. — The field for the 0,000 Louisville Handicap, set for renewal here Saturday afternoon, is rapidly taking shape. The mile and one-sixteenth week-end stakes probably will bring together at least 12 middle-distance performers, promising one of the best renewals in the fixtures history. Included in the list of probable Louisville Handicap starters are Mrs. Irving Gushens Star Rover, victor in Keenelands Ben Ali Handicap, and Hasty House Farms Sea O Erin, second in the same stakes and but a half length off E. Gay Drakes Swoons Son in the Churchill Downs Handicap last week. Star Rover, an invader from New England, and Sea O Erin, each will shoulder 120 pounds in the Louisville. Others that may be under silks in the half-holiday headliner are Walmac Farms Hasseyampa and The Warrior, Rothmore Farms Munchausen, surprise winner Tuesday in the Swigert Purse, and Theodore D.
