Dedicate Topweighted At 126 for Metropolitan Pegged Two Pounds Over Fabius For Saturdays 0000 Stakes By Staff Correspondent BELMONT PARK, Elmont, L. I., N. Y., June 3. Mrs. Jan Burkes Dedicate was assigned top weight of 126 pounds for the 0,000 added Metropolitan Handicap, to be renewed at one mile this coming Saturday. The five-year-old son of Princequillo and Dini won the 00,000 added John B. Campbell Memorial Handicap under 124 pounds for his major score in a light campaign of four starts this season, and just last week he ran a strong race under 126 pounds in the seven-furlong Carter Handicap to finish a diminishing head behind Portersville. - Dedicate is being asked to concede two pounds to Calumet Farms Fabius, and as much as 28 pounds to the ones at the bottom of the list of nominees. The four-year-old son of Citation ran a very poor race in the Valley Forge Handicap the first week of the recently concluded Garden State Park meeting, but came back later with a clever victory in an overnight feature. Maine Chance Farms Jet Action may be second starting highweight with his assignment of 123 pounds. He finished fifth after Eric Guerin rated him off the leaders in the Excelsior at Jamaica last month, and previously he started off the season victoriously in the six-furlong Paumonok. Christopher T. Chenerys Third Brother was placed at 121 pounds by Racing Secretary Frank E. Kilroe. This handsomely bred performer beat Dedicate a nose in the Bowie Handicap, early this spring, and was defeated by the same margin after a weight adjustment in the Campbell Memorial. After showing poor form at Jamaica, he came through last Saturday with a big race to beat Bardstown by four lengths in the Camden Handicap at Garden State Park, although Bardstown was carrying 130 pounds and did not display his peak form, in the opinion of the majority of experts. Among others who may figure prominently on Saturday are Happy Hill Farms Kingmaker, Christianas Ricci Tavi and Lou Dohertys Traffic Judge, each 118 pounds; Formella Stables Switch On, 117, Clearwater Stables Portersville and Jaclyn Stables.
