Sec. George M. Humphrey Purchases Whileaway Farm LEXINGTON, Ky., June 3. George M. Humphrey, who recently resigned as Secretary of the Treasury, has purchased the Whileaway Farm of Jack Welch on the Iron Works Pike. The 120 -acre tract is located in one of the finest areas of the Blue Grass, is well-watered and fenced and has stalls for 40 horses. Under the terms of the sale Humphrey gets possession of the farm residence on August 1 and the farm on November 1. Sale price was not disclosed. Welch, who has spent most of his life in association with saddle horses, standard-breds and thoroughbreds, plans to continue his interest but his actual plans are indefinite at this time.
