Fort Miami Featuring Miss Universe Purse Drafting Room Strives to Prove Repeater at Ohio Course Today By T. J. MULLIGAN FORT MIAMI, Maumee. Ohio, May 10. — The Miss Universe Purse will highlight the nine-race program here on Saturday and Miss Carol Morris, who was crowned Miss Universe of 1957 at Long Beach. Calif., recently, will present a trophy to the winning owner. The feature will bring together 10 of the swiftest speedsters on the grounds, including an entry who will match strides at six furlongs. Those named in the overnight entries include Ralph Clarks Sighted. W. J. Tufts The Peer, M. Finkle-mans By Gone Days, T. Langs Drafting Room. V. F. Crowders Tribal Custom. George Adams Dryok, Fischer and Frucht-mans Grey Granite, Hodge and Hawkins Dictation, J. Jelicas Co.ioc and A. Condons Mohawk Valley. The latter pair are coupled as an entry in the wagering. Drafting Room, a chestnut son of Foot-saver who captured the Arne Missen Tivoli Handicap at this oval last Saturday, should be capable of taking down the major portion of the spoils in tomorrows main event. He negotiated the six panels that afternoon in 1:1145. only three-fifths of a second off the track standard established by Gallant Dolly two years ago. Jockey Jimmy Litteral, who was in the saddle in Drafting Rooms winning effort, is again slated to handle the saddle chores. Mohawk Valley was beaten only a length in last Saturdays chief offering and on the basis of that sterling performance rates the runner-up slot. This good-looking chestnut daughter of Round View loomed up menacingly midway of the stretch in her latest essay only to falter the final 70 yards. Should she break on top she may be difficult to overtake. Dictation registered at the meeting and this son of Yellow Tulip delights in coming from behind as a late drive is his specialty. He will be coming on when some of his opponents are getting weary. Grey Granite and The Peer also were winners at the meeting and should an upset occur either of this pair could occasion it. The remainder will have to show more to receive a higher rating.
