HOURLESS WONDER, showing miich improvement, took the lead with a rush on the lower turn and, drawing away, won with speed to spare. MARINE STAR worked his way iip between horses and, while showing a good effort, was no match for the winner. ELKO, away slowly and far back in the early running, closed with a rush in the stretch and was racing gamely at the end. BRIGHT FLOWER was carried wide entering the stretch. GEN. KING TODAY, fractious at the post, broke well, gained steadily and, taking, a good, lead on -the lower turn, hold on gamely in the final, drive. DEE DEE W., sent into the lead at the first turn, raced wide all the way, but outlasted GULFELANO. The latter raced wide while taking the lead and tired in the final quarter.
