SECRET LOVER, under a hard drive from the beginning, was kept In close attendance of the pace in the first half mile, wore down the leaders in the run through the stretch and drew clear in the final sixteenth. REFUSED, slow to settle Into his best stride, secured racing room on the inside all the way and closed willingly. WRACKALA had early speed, sprinted into a good lead in the first quarter, then tired after racing five-eighths. HIGH YELLOW raced evenly. MARIE SAMBROT quit badly and bore out when tiring. The latter saved ground all the way, disposed of PEPPER PRINCE in the stretch and had little left when the winner challenged. PEPPER PRINCE, well placed throughout, took command entering the stretch, then tired. STONE CHATTER made up ground. FAINE went evenly. AUTHORITY, on the inside all the way, raced SCARA GLEN into defeat, continued gamely, but was no match for the winner. SCARA GLEN forced the pace from the beginning, reached the lead in the stretch, then gave way inside the final eighth. SHOWMAN closed with a rush in the last quarter. HEY KELLY tired badly.
