BRONNENBERG SILKS FIRST Odd Star Earns Second Purse of Beulah Park Meeting- Bonnie Cain Triumphs. COLUMBUS, Ohio, May 25 Odd Star carried the J. Bronnenberg colors to his second victory of the meeting when he got up to nose out McKell in the final strides of the Washington Breweries Purse, feature at Beulah Park this afternoon. Nutting raced in third position throughout. I Following the running, John R. Downey, president of the Washington Breweries, made the presentation of the trophy to, James Bronnenberg. Ideal conditions prevailed and a capacity crowd witnessed the sport. Bea M. made a runaway affair of the initial race. Chloedair only got up in the closing strides to take the second. Bonnie Cain finished well in the third to win handily. Jockey W. Farrell made it a double when he scored a similar victory with Bob Up in the fourth. Richard A. Leigh, racing secretary and presiding judge at the Bainbricge Park meeting, which opens next Thursday at Cleveland, was a visitor today, distributing condition books among horsemen here. He departs for Cleveland tonight.
