NO RETREAT lacked early speed, was forced wide while improving her position and closed fastest of all. KID GLOVE had good early speed, saved ground throughout, but tired in the final drive. THISTLE DUST raced evenly and closed well. MELOY had early speed, but was in tight quarters thereafter. COONEY quit. SHADY WELL, heavily weighted, was slow to find her. best speed, worked her way up on the outside losing much ground on the final turn and closed well. SPEY CREST had keen early speed, but tired. SLEAFORD had good early speed, disposed of HIDDEN CITY leaving the back stretch, took a short lead on the turn, but was no match for the winner. FINESSE gradually improved her position and closed strongly. MISSOURI JIM raced evenly and had no mishaps. PRINCELY PAL made up some ground. HIDDEN CITY quit badly.
