1 WASHINGTON PARK NOTES f $ : and Trainer B. B. Williams has returned Nellie Flag, sterling three-year-old filly in Warren Wrights Calumet Stable, to training. After ten days of absolute rest following her disappointing effort in the Preakness Stakes, she has taken light exercise the past several mornings at Washington Park. Mose Lowenstein, who was threatened with pneumonia ten days ago, is so much improved that he hopes to resume active direction of his stable within a few days. Before shipping to Bainbridge Park, E. K. Bryson purchased Pancoast from L. Beyda and sold Masketier- to the same owner, whose horses are trained by R. T. Watts. Jockey Les Balaski, who went to Latonia to ride the Brentwood Stables Late Date in the Inaugural Handicap, returns in .time to accept mounts here Monday. Engelmonk, a winner at Churchill Downs, is an addition to the division of the Chappel Brothers stable, racing here under T. A. Donald. Twelve others are in the string. King Pin, Lills Pet, Mighty Quick and others trained by John Baihton, arrived by van from Aurora Saturday morning. William Hinphy, with Dark Woman, Tadcaster and Blackstrap, also checked in from the same point. Bungler, which he purchased from E. R. Bradley in Kentucky several weeks ago, is an addition to the Hinphy establishment. The stable of Mrs. Raymond Pollard, one of the largest to come here from Texas, consists of the following: Onrush, Fickle Chance, Reservist, Chance Line, Uluniu, Quasimodo, High Bottom, Miss Corinne, Bugaboo, Claremont, Golden Miss, Honest Ben and May Festival. Jockey J. King, one of the leading lightweights, is with this Texas-owned establishment. Only three, Hit and Run, Bibbies Choice and Early Hour, are here to race under the silks of A. B. Letellier of New Orleans. Sazerac, one-time star of the stable, was sent to Tennessee from Louisville to be turned out.
