The Suburban, one of th meost famous of handicaps, stands out as the big feature the first week of the second half of the Belmont Park meeting. In the forty-ninth running of this historic stake, the Brookmeade Stables Cavalcade Icoms over all the others entered, but there is plenty of crack opposition "in prospect for Mrs. Dodge Sloanes champion three-year-old of 1934. If any further proof of the fitness of Cavalcade was needed after his defeat at a mile by Head Play last Thursday it was furnished when he stepped the Suburban distance of a mile and a quarter in 2:03 over trie main track Saturday morning. The fractional time was:48 for the half, 1:12 for the three-quarters, 1:38 for the mile and 1:50 for the mile and a furlong. King Saxon, another candidate, did the same distance in 2:05.
