1 ! i : ; LEADING AMERICAN JOCKEYS The see-saw battle between F. Chojnacki and J. Nolan for the leadership of the American jockeys, continued last week with honors and the leaders position going to Chojnacki, who rode eight winners to take a three-winner lead over Nolan, who scored with only four of his mounts. The previous week saw Nolan with a lead of one winner over Chojnacki. The latter has the best of it in percentage but on that score is overshadowed by both Dan Brammer, who is third, and Ira Hanford, who is fourth. Both of the latter riders also have a total of more than 100 winning mounts and Hanford, who has a percentage of .22, is fast overhauling the leaders, riding seven winners last week. At present he is the sensation of New England and New York racing. Chojnackis eight winners were also high for the past week.
