AGAWAM TURF NOTES and . $ Mrs. S. A. Parises Manya pulled up lame after Monday mornings workout and will be on the shelf for some time. With the departure of steward George Brown, there was a general change in the official family. Mathies G. Shea moved into the stewards stand, while James J. Ross, Jr., replaced Mr. Shea as clerk of the scales. Max Hirsch sent Aerialist, Joyride and Arguefication from Belmont Parkin charge of his daughter, Miss Mary Hirsch. S. Deutsch arrived with Aureate and Sophisticated, coming also from Belmont Park. Harry J. Horr vanned in Feuette and Black Brigade, property of Mr. Joseph L. Bereswill, from New York. Jockey George Watson arrived from To- , A ronto, Ont., to join the stable of his uncle, R. Robertson, for whom he will ride during the remainder of the meeting. O. L. Foster shipped in four head from Suffolk Downs. With the departure of jockey A. Cooper for Suffolk Downs, jockey Stanley Coule received the 5 weekly prize donated by general manager James Thornton for the rider scoring the most winners during the week, beating out Cooper by the margin of two mounts.
