TIP INN raced wide in the early stages, showed good speed for three-eighths, but could not threaten the winner. EDDIE H., well placed in the early running, lost ground by racing wide and held on well. IRON SANDS showed good early speed, but tired in the last eighth. SANANG raced closest to the winner all the way and, while best of the others, did not threaten the winner. RUSH PLAY started slowly, raced wide to enter contention and made up much ground, in the last half mile. LAURIAN was well up for the first half mile, but tired in the last eighth. OVERSHOES, showing good speed, was rushed into the lead early, swung wide entering the stretcn, came on again in the final cichth and wore down CHEKA. CHEKA, well placed in the early running slipped through on the inside on the lower turn, drew clear in the stretch, but tired right at the end. LADY LAURA lost much ground by racing wide and finished gamelv in the last eighth. BLAGDEN lost much ground while moving into contention and held on well. SEDALIA was going gamely at the end. DONERINA moved up fast on the inside, took a short lead on the lower turn and fought it out gamely. SAUCY MARIA, well placed early, gained gradually on the outside and was going fastest at the end. JANE PACKARD lacked early speed, crossed to the inside shortly after the start, saved ground all the way and was going gamely at the end. CHICREDO tired in the last eighth. SENATOR MIKE, well placed in the early going while under slight restraint, gained steadily on the outside, took the lead in the stretch, but could not withstand the winner. SCIMITAR broke fast, but was unable to keep up in the early running, finished gamely in the last eighth and was going well at the end. HABANERO trailed the field for five-eighths, showed belated speed in the last quarter, but was going well at the end. KAVALRY JACK and GENIE JR. both tired badly. CAPTAIN LOGAN, under slight restraint until straightened out in the back stretch, moved up gamely when called upon, took the lead approaching the lower turn, came on again after being headed by EDGAR BOY and outgamed the latter in a hard drive. EDGAR BOY, far back early, moved up on the outside with "7 a rush on the lower turn, took a short lead in the stretch, but could not withstand the winner. BLUE FOAM took the lead at the break, was under restraint while making the pace, saved ground on the lower, turn and came on again in the stretch. LUCKY DAN showed some early speed, but tired badly in the last eighth. DISAPPROVAL showed a flash of early speed. DIXIE D. was never a contender. WESTI0 was always far back. Overweight Dixie D., 2 pounds.
