24 IN XALAPA FARMS STRING Stable Made Up of Nineteen Homebred Juveniles and Five Older Horses. LEXINGTON, Ky., April 14 An even two dozen horses bred and raised at Xalapa Farm, maintained by Edward F. Simms, are going to the races this season in charge of A. C. Dettwiler. A few may be seen under silks during the Keeneland meeting here. The stable has been training at Keeneland, but was recently divided, only those ready to race will be kept at the track. Only five members of the stable are older horses, they being Sonsy Boy, Big Bud, - Witherway, Gay Troubador, and Fine Airs. Of the two-year-olds, seven are colts and a dozen are fillies, most of them being by the Xalapa stallions, which are Eternal, Leonardo II., and Crucifixion. The colts are: Top Man, b. by Blue Larkspur -Loved One; Bugles Blow, b. by Leonardo II. Dream-Girl II.; Shadows Pass, br. by Eternal Venice; Canape, br. by Jamestown Caviar; Black Bun, blk. by Ariel Sun Bun; Xalapa Clown, blk. by Eternal Loma Linda, and Hemerocallis, by Crucifixion Spinning Mare. JUVENILE FILLIES. Xalapas two-year-old fillies are: Fleur tlOr, ch. by St. Germans Susie Jane; Sweet Almond, br. by Pharamond II. Miss Dorothy; Tipsy Pudding, b. by Eternal Bourlon Reel; Adalante, b. by Eternal Banner Miss; Wedding Morn, b. by Eternal White Veil; Topsy Turvey, b. by Eternal Courtboulion; b. by Eternal Ease Away; Dame Isobel, b. by Eternal Tara II.; Ila -ee, b. by Supremus Everanaday; Ah-Mi, b. by Infinite Le-mora; Deri, blk. by Prince pf Bourbon Sweet Verbena and Cambalu, b. by Crucifixion Nepenthe. The stable is expected to go to Louisville following the Keeneland meeting and afterwards a New York campaign may be undergone as some of the two-year-olds have Eastern stake engagements.
