LAFAYETTE STAKES OUTLOOK Cream of Juvenile Crop to Meet in ,500 Added Stake Feature to Be Run April 27. LEXINGTON, Ky., April 14. One of the most attractive of the four stakes fixtures offered at the forthcoming Keeneland meet ing, is the ,500 added Lafayette Stakes, which is designed to bring out the cream of the juvenile crop for a dash over the Head-ley Course distance of forty feet less than four furlongs on April 27. This event was far more generously subscribed to than the other trio of stakes, having been closed on February 15 with a total of sixty-three nominations. Although many of the candidates listed have never raced and were unnamed at the time that the deadline for entering was reached, they are believed to possess stake quality by their handlers. Mrs. Payne Whitneys Greentree Stable contributed the largest number of eligibles, a total of five, which is just one more than the next highest nominators, Dixiana and J. W. Parrish, each of whom have four prospective starters for the juvenile tussle. Hal Price Headley is another who will have four from which to choose his representation. GREENTREE QUARTET. The Greentree Stable quartet, which has been made eligible for the Lafayette Stakes, is Catechism, a bay filly by Questionnaire Bryonia; Cherry Jam, a brown gelding by St. Brideaux Cherry Tart; Third Degree, a bay colt by Questionaire Panche; Truckin, a bay filly by The Porter Joyland; Twist, a bay filly by Chicle Tendril. Dixianas hopefuls include Likly Lad, a black gelding by Peter Hastings Highly; Batter, a chestnut gelding by High Time Jemima Lee; My Woman, a brown filly by High Time Constant Wife, and an unnamed bay filly by High Time Lady Dean. The J. W. Parrish youngsters, most of which have been seasoned in Florida during the winter, are Stockboard, chestnut gelding, by Rolled Stocking La Planche de Briante; J. Ware, a chestnut gelding-, by Percentage Zuleika; T. Marcus, a chestnut gelding, by Percentage Moody Mary; Euneva, "a bay filly, by Rolled Stocking Gossip Avenue. Those nominated by Hal Price Headley, Col. E. R. Bradley, Brown and Fetter, Dr. C. E. Hagyard, A. B. Hancock, Jack Howard, C. W. Moore, T. Piatt, J. H. Whitney and Young and Rogers had not been granted names at the time of the closing of the Lafayette Stakes. NOMINEES. However, some of the other eligibles already tagged are J. W. Another group of the youngsters with monickers included Valdina Farms Viscounty and Viragin, C. C. Van Meters Vanscout, J. D. Weils Max Forst, Brilliant One and High Top, J. E. Wideners Ovid and T. B. Youngs Ebony Hue.
