i KINGS PLATE NOMINATIONS Thirty-Eight Named for Canadas Outstanding Race Changed Conditions, Higher Starting Fee. TORONTO, Ont., April 14. The fact that the nominations for the Kings Plate, which will have its seventy-ninth running on the opening day of the Woodbine Park spring meeting, May 21, do not come up to the numbers usually named for this fixture, is undoubtedly due in part to the change of conditions limiting the race to three-year-olds and four-year-olds this year and also to the increase of the starting fee from 0 to 00. Thjere are thirty-eight entries for Canadas premier racing fixture this year, compared to forty-nine last year. In fact, it is the smallest list within memory. However, all the horses that distinguished themselves in juvenile competition last year, are among the twenty-eight three-year-olds entered and there are a few formidable four-year-olds among the ten of this age named. Three stables share the honor of largest nominator, George M. Hendrie, Med-, way Stable and Parkwood Stable, all having entered four. FAIR NAMES TRIO. J. G. Fair comes next with three nominations, and A. G. Auld, Cosgrave Stable, R. W. R. Cowie, H. C. Hatch and Riverdale Stable each have two candidates. Following is the list of nominations: Horse. Horse.
