: j . . , TANF0RAN BOOKS RELEASED Marchbank Handicap, 5,000 Added, Main Event on San Bruno Tracks Stake Event List. 1 SAN MATEO, Calif., April 14. Cndition .books for the first eight days of the coming Tanforan meeting were issued Tuesday, and it is interesting to note that, following the policy of last season, the management has named a number of the better grade events for California breeding farms. For instance, in the first set of conditions, one finds such races as the Heather Farm Handicap, the Double H Ranch, the North-way Ranch, the Conepo Ranch, the La Brea Farm, the Meadowbrook Farm, the Rancho San Julian, the Rancho San Luis Rey, the Rancho Casitas Handicap, the Rancho Tri-umpho, the Marwyck Ranch and the Wood-side Ranch. John W. Marchbank, owner of the Tanforan track, is known as one of Californias most famous breeders, and he is firm in his belief that the men who maintain breeding establishments are the backbone of racing in California and should be duly recognized. The policy of naming races for their farms will be followed at every Tanforan meeting. CHANGE OFFICIALS. Due to the sudden passing of Peter Clark, there will be a change in the list of officials for the meeting. The late Mr. Clark had been named as one of the board of stewards, and last season officiated as steward at the start. The official list reveals only one change from last season. MacComber, John Maluvius, J. C. McGill and A. J. Heffernan, placing judges; , Julius Reeder, general .manager, racing secretary and handicapper; Eddie Thomas, starter; J. C. McGill, paddock judge; J.
