t BEULAH PARK NOTES $ e Additions to the jockey colony here include Stewart "Buddy" Vail, Sam Snodgrass, G. C. Fisher, Don Manifold, and C. F. Simpson, Fisher and Manifold are apprentices. Simpson is under contract to W. N. Potts. J. R. Mills has disposed of Corida and has acquired Black Hat, both in private transactions. Mills stable also includes Jere and Spicate. W. A. Ashbridge and J. H. Yerian have arrived with their stables. The Rew, one of the most consistent performers at the recent New Orleans meeting, is quartered at Beulah Park, along with others in the stable of Miss M. Hodge. The Rew was in the money in 16 out of 18 starts in the Mardi Gras city and finished fourth on one of the two occasions he missed a pay-off position. He won ,475. Others in Miss Hodges stable here include Colorist, Dame Grundy, Pineaway and Amasin. Dave Sodders trains for Miss Hodge, who is a granddaughter of Mrs. E. B. Shipp. Mrs. Shipps stable at Beulah Park includes Muriellyn, Queen Irene, High Flag. Joe Jay, Bunty Ann, General Boy, Morley Firth, Brides Delight, and Maiden Dream. C. N. Finch has reserved stalls for his stable at Beulahs spring meeting, May 4-30, inclusive. The Finch string includes: Surveyor, Sweet Guinea, Paul T., Minstei, Military Miss, Pat C, Barbara J., Uncle Lester, Clashman, Lady Dedlock and the two-year-olds, Miss Roberta and Hes Wonderful. Finch finished second among the trainers at the recent Oaklawn Park meeting. Several requests for box seats and club house reservations for the entire meeting I have already been received by the Beulah 1 Park Jockey Club.
