I BEULAH PARK NOTES 4 e Apprentice jockey T. Atkinson scored his maiden victory astride Musical Jack in the second race Wednesday. For disobedience while at the post on Wednesday, jockeys R. Creese and T. Dow-ell were set down for three days each by starter Wm. Daly. T. E. Ward, apprentice rider, returned here from River Downs. He will remain for the balance of the meeting. Dr. L. N. Jentgens Sunnyridge Farm stable will be shipped to Ascot Park after the Beulah meeting. Trainer Elmer Albright is in charge of the stable, which includes Costlier, Bank Me, Perdition and Whoa Back, all winners at Beulah. Ascot Park will open Saturday, May 28. R. Thompson was a recent arrival from Churchill Downs, with seven head, including Pegotty Ann, Miss April, Board Bill and Flackarmura. C. E. Deahl, who has the best horse shown at this meeting, in Fast Move, will be among those horsemen shipping to Ascot Park. W. Ashbridge, F. B. Smith, C. C. Kranz, "Dug" Hoffman, M. H. Powelson, and the Zanes-ville, Ohio Stable, are others shipping to that point. Among the applications for stalls at Ascot Park, which opens a nineteen-day meeting Saturday, May 28, are stables that house several of the recent winners at Beulah Park. Trainer R. Ward who won a pair of two-year-old races with Floataway and Jean Andrews, plans to ship both of these juveniles to the Ascot track, which is located on the Cleveland-Akron Highway No. 8. Floataway won her first start very easily and R. Em-minger, owner of the filly, is reported to have turned down an offer of ,000 for her. The offer was made by the Jewell Brothers Stable of Lexington, Ky. Trainer Larry Daly who saddled consecutive winners last Saturday when Flickering and Ranicilla came home in the sixth and seventh races, respectively, plans to campaign both of them at Ascot. Earl Wheatley will race both Lightin Bill and Colonel Jr., at Ascot, Lightin Bill having won at Beulah and Colonel Jr. having finished in the money on several occasions. The Peacock Stable also will ship to Ascot. Prince Sulieman, a winner Tuesday, is included in this string. J. R. Derden has the good Waswanappi ready for Ascot. Waswanappi won two races and finished second once in three starts at Beulah. Jockey Homer Derden, brother of the owner and trainer of Waswanappi, also plans to be at Ascot.
