FAIRMOUNT PARK NOTES $ — — $ Track superintendent John Le Blanc, who motored to New Orleans to bring back with him his ailing wife, returned and resumed charge of whipping the plant into shape for the opening. Work to get the concession booths in order is under way. New improvements in this department include the remodeling and opening of the grandstand restaurant, with lunches at popular prices, and a new circular tent bar between the grandstand and paddock. L. Thompson made reservation for three horses, namely, Booms Pal, Surcouf and Palasa. Elmer Johnson will bring five — Oh Dolly, a recent Aurora winner, Yenrac, Tryanhurry, Kai Fari and Spickeen. " A career in the saddle is being mapped for Andy Bomar by his brother, jockey Joe Bomar. Andy, only 15 years old, is here learning the fundamentals under his older brother. J. H. Payne requested stalls for three horses, namely, Lady Fitz, Foxy Maude and Miss Curiosity. N. W. Shaw will be represented by four — Wise Eddie, George, Immutable and Chic-inger. The main parking grounds has been undergoing grading and will be oiled in a few days. With the new lot across the highway, accommodations are available for 10,000 cars. Jewelry, a three-time winner here last fall, will return to race for W. Weber. Shirley B. is the only other member of the stable. Two more special days were closed — Belleville, June 7, and Edwardsville, June 28. Merchants and officials of these towns will be honored with races named after them.
