1 BELMONT PARK TURF NOTES | r§- J, Jockey F. Bellhouse, who suffered a wrenched back while schooling last week, will resume riding Saturday. Jockey Melvin Lewis, under contract to the Shandon Farm, arrived and applied for a license. Apprentice R. Scott, under contract to J. Y. Christmas, arrived from Maryland. Jockey J. Mora, who was injured during the Hialeah Park meeting, arrived Thursday. Enoch and Jess Hughes, veteran Texas racing enthusiasts, arrived from their home for a visit. They will remain over for the match race. Baron and Mrs. Long were among the advance guard of the California delegation for the match race. They came from Los Angeles. William Woodward was a clubhouse visitor Thursday afternoon. Jockey G. Woolf was taken ill before the , running of the first race and canceled his engagements. Trainer Bill Brennan of the Greentree Stable, reported that the "Coughers" in his stable are showing slow improvement. Al. G. Weston, a member of the official family at Bowie, was among the visitors. Kenneth Dawes of Montreal, came down to attend the sale of horses in training. William B. Miller, the Greenwich, Conn., breeder, was on hand to attend the sale.
