ROB NEWSPAPER OFFICE AKRON, Ohio, May 3.— Two bandits today held up and robbed Vincent Thomas in the circulation office of the Akron Beacon Journal and escaped with approximately 54,000. Police said the men entered the office on the ground floor of the Beacon Journal Building just as Thomas, a circulation employe, -uas preparing to take the money to the business office on an. upper floor. When he resisted their demands, he was slugged on the head, and the men fled with the money. Thomas was taken to a hospital for examination. i
