| JAMAICA TURF NOTES | ยง Word was received here that Mrs. R. Mozer was operated upon at the Mercy Hospital, Gary, Ind., and is showing decided improvement W. B. Gilpin, attached to the secretarial staff in the main ring, celebrated his 88th birthday Tuesday. The veteran was warmly congratulated by his associates. Jack Cartier arrived and reported that the T. P. and W. F. Morgan interests had thirty-seven horses stabled at Belmont Park. Car-tier is agent for the Texas owners. George Odom will go to Narragansett on Saturday to saddle Early Delivery in his stake engagement at that point. Mrs. S. C. Hildreth was on hand for the afternoon and was accompanied by her niece, Miss Casey, of Boston. Jockey D. Meade is due back here on Monday to ride, following a quick trip to New England. Algernon Daingerfield, assistant secretary of The Jockey Club, who was carrying his arm in a sling for the past few days, showed up on the scene in normal fashion Wednesday. He reported that the tinge of neuritis had departed. Benny Davis returned to his stand in the clubhouse following a one-day absence, spent attending to some of the details of the estate of the late Tommy Powell. Jack Mackenzie, general manager of Hollywood Park, arrived here for a few days. He will leave for Louisville in time to witness the running of the Derby.
