! CHURCHILL DOWNS NOTES I ® 1 L. J. Wilson, trainer for the Lexbrook Stable, reported the purchase of the mare I Chase, from B. W. Stivers, and she will be shipped to Lincoln Fields along with the remainder of the stable. The terms were private. J. C. Metz, Covington, Ky., owner and trainer, made arrangements for the shipment of his five horses to Lincoln Fields and he will join the stable Tuesday at the Crete track. Nicholas Burger filed a five-year contract on 16-year-old James Martin Berger, younger brother of Maurice Berger, who hails from Shively, Ky. Arthur Kurpion, designer of the camera used at Churchill Downs, will transfer his equipment to Lincoln Fields Sunday and is confident of having his machine installed for tests by Tuesday, two days prior to the opening of the meeting. Track superintendent Tom Young returned to Chicago to supervise the allocation of stall facilities to the influx of thoroughbreds due at Lincoln Fields within the next few days. 4
