Harris; bred by Mr. E. B. Jacobs. Winner entered to be claimed for 00. WENT TO POST— 5:00J. OFF AT ONCE. Start good and slow. Won easily; second and third driving. GOLDEN QUEST, under strong restraint for five-eighths and steered to the inside turning into the stretch, took command when GOLDKIN raced slightly wide, was roused mildly approaching the final eighth and was in hand in the final sixteenth. GENERAL BOY moved to the leaders with a rush turning into the stretch, saved ground, disposed of GOLDKIN in the drive, but could not menace the winner. GOLDKIN, hustled from the start, disposed of NICELLA in the run down the back stretch, raced slightly wide entering the final quarter and was strongly ridden in the concluding stages and tired. NICELLA relinquished the lead under pressure and continued gamely in the late stages, but was no match for the winner. The others were never prominent. AMERICAN EMBLEM, away fast, outran the field to the first turn and, under good rating, was allowed to open a commanding lead entering the stretch and was well in hand in the final eighth. CHARLIE H., under occasional urging, followed the winner in the early stages, was under increased pressure in the drive to withstand SCOTTYS PRIDE. The latter, on the outside and stronely urged rounding the far turn, could not reach the leaders in the concluding stages. OUR JUSTICE finished strongly. ESCOLEE lacked early speed. MAD CAREER tired in the last quarter. GREEN COUNTRY had no mishaps. GREAT CHANCE quit. MR. SCHOTT had a burst of early speed. Scratched— 73848 Buzzin Around, 105; 74141 Linkville, 110.
