CARUS CLARUS slipped through next to the inner rail rounding the stretch turn and, saving ground during the run home, drew clear in the last sixteenth. PARRISH ROACH displayed the most speed to the last eighth and was hard pressed at the end to stall off MISS ADELE. The latter raced well up and finished with good courage. FREEPLAY closed a wide gap and came strongly on the outside through the stretch. SCOTLAND BEAUTY came again when too late. COHORT LASS tired after reaching the stretch, as did THISTLE DICK. GOLDEN MISSION displayed much speed, but finished tiring and was doing his best to outlast MAEPOP. The latter closed a wide gap and came strongly on the outside in the run home. BELLE OF MIDWAY raced forwardly and had no excuses. SOPHIST dwelt when the break came, but closed much ground and finished going strongly on the inside. WASSAIL tired in the final test, as did TOPWAY. WHOA BACK quit.
