SELDOMGO gained a short lead under strong handling in the opening eighth, shook off BILLIE DEE OR after going a half mile, withstood a stout drive through the stretch and barely lasted with enough to outstay ELEGANT DAME. The latter was close up early and came courageously under punishment in the closing drive. ROCKY MOUNT raced forwardly and finished full of run in the late stages. LANDSMAN was hurried from the start and finished with good speed. BILLIE DEE OR tired in the last three-sixteenths. GLISTEN lacked speed early and needs a longer distance. RUNOUT worked his way forward on the outside, reached the pacemaker at the stretch turn, moved to the front in the last sixteenth and had enough in reserve to withstand PRINCE- JOCK. The latter swung*to the outside when reaching the back stretch, improved his position steadily and finished with good speed. JACAM displaced PARVIN on the back stretch, but tired in the last eighth while under punishment. SCHLEY PRINTZ tired after going five-eighths. SEA MARK could not threaten. MORVIM was rushed vigorously to gain command, met repeated bids from CANTER BELLE in the first five-eighths, then drew out swiftly when reaching the stretch. CLYMENE raced forwardly placed and held on well to the end. CANTER BELLE forced a steady pace for five-eighths, then tired. SCOUTALLOW, messed about after being taken up at the start, was taken extremely wide and failed to threaten. SUN BELLE tired after making a mild bid on the final turn. MISLED was done after going a half mile. The others wore outrun. FEATHER TREAD sprinted into an easy lead, saved ground all the way, but could not withstand the winner. JUDGES BID was prominent all the way, saved much ground and held on well. HOME HUNTER was timidly ridden and fell back early. NIGHT RIDER could not threaten early. BUCK PASSER was held safe. MAEQUETT lacked speed. ROYAL TEDDY, going in her best form and close up from the beginning, engaged the winner midway of the back stretch, but failed to stay under punishment. OCEAN ROLL broke slower than usual, reached contention on the back stretch, but could not improve his position. VICTORY LIGHT saved ground but could not reach the leaders. FAMOUS CLAYTON worked his way up on the outside, responded to punishment, but could not roach the winner. REIGH TETRARCH was used up racing with HURDY GURDY and tired after getting into a short lead. HURDY GURDY was ridden stoutly, but could not keep up. MR. MELVIN raced evenly. LUCKY ROLL was never dangerous. VENETIAN lacked speed. BLIND TALK had no mishaps.
