The stable in charge of K. S. Cleveland has si:: head quartered at Thorncliffe Park and announces that eight more are en route from Kentucky. J. E. F. Seagrams Gold Fawn suffered a serious shoulder injury in the running of the Kings Plate and it is doubtful if the Sun Craig gelding will ever race again. C. J. FitzGerald, who served as guest steward for the running of the Kings Plate on Monday, returned to Chicago, 111., where he acts as steward for the Illinois Racing Commission. Jockey Sterling Young, who is suffering from an attack of boils, was forced to cancel his Tuesday engagements. P. G. Demetrie, owner of Stamford Park, Niagara Falls while visiting in Toronto, conferred with racing secretary P. C. Galliger. They announced that there will be a sub stantial increase in the total purse distribution for the meeting at that point. Racing secretary Galliger is busily engaged preparing the books for the Hamilton Jockey Club and plans to confer with the Hamilton officials Sunday next. Jockey T. Vercher arrived from Louisville, Ky., and made application to ride in Canada. Vercher will do the riding for the K. S. Cleveland stable. He rode in Canada some years ago and was at that time connected with the A. J. Halliwell stable. Jockey J. Wood, of Montreal, was an arrival and registered his application with the I. C. R. A. B. Hughes accepted his first mount Tuesday in the maiden jockeys race. He is under contract to A. J. Halliwell and was astride Spring Moon for his employer. He is a native of New Toronto. J. R. Mclntyres Hood bucked in the running of the first juvenile race Monday. Jockey E. Kilgore arrived at Woodbine Park and accepted his first mount
