BOUGHT PLATE WINNER CHEAP TORONTO, Ont., May 23.— C. George Mc-Cullagh, when questioned following the running of the Plate, states: "I am very fortunate in purchasing the Worthmore colt at the dispersal sale of the W. H. Wright yearlings for the sum of 00 and was high in the praise of his trainer, Mark Cowell, who has complete charge of the colt since he purchased him." Credit was given completely to his trainer and the breeder who afforded him the opportunity to have an entry capable of winning the coveted Guineas and giving him the opportunity to receive them from the hands of the monarch. Jockey S. D. Birley made the following statement: "Archworth is a grand colt; he ran his race. I never at any stage of the journey had to hustle him. I was continually trying to take him back the first seven furlongs and when I gave him his head in the stretch he drew out with ease."
