CANT CATCH, a strong factor from the start and taken in hand when outrun, saved ground throughout, moved into the lead when VICUNA swung wide entering the stretch, gave way when the latter came again, but, in a hard duel and benefitted by riders tactics, gained the decision, but was disqualified and placed second. VICUNA, hustled along from the start, established a big lead after subduing ELLEN BAKER, gave way when racing wide at the turn, came again when straight and was bothered by CANT CATCH S rider in the final strides. GOLDEN SHOE, outrun early, improved her position on the outside and finished strongly. SWEEPING BOW showed an even effort. ELLEN BAKER tired WILLOW PLUME was outrun. PARI CALL showed little. SUNNIE-TIME was done after a half mile. Overweight — Vicuna, 2 pounds.
