! BELMONT PARK TURF NOTES | The remains of Mrs. Andy Doyle, wife of the Nationwide News Service specialist, were shipped to Cincinnati Tuesday night for burial. Sam McCormack, manager of Hialeah Park, was among the arrivals, and he will stay for a few days. J. H. Louchheim arrived from Philadelphia for the afternoons card. Jockey C. Stevenson reported ill and canceled his days riding engagements. Jockey J. Longden returned from Toronto, where he rode in the Kings Plate. The coughing epidemic is reaching such proportions that it seriously interfered with the, filling of two races on Wednesdays card. Jack Adler, veteran announcer, is seriously ill at Hotel Greystone in this city. Jack Campbell reported that the new condition books for the latter part of the meet- • ing would be ready Friday. At private ttrms B. F. Christmas purchased the steeplechaser, Slievereigh, from Montpelier, and he raced in his new owners interests in the second race Tuesday. Jockey L. Balaski announced that he will go to California to ride at Hollywood Park An order, signed by J. E. Widener, to the jockeys riding at this meeting, was to the effect that they must wear stock ties during the afternoon.
