HIDDEN HASTE, prominent from the start, moved into command rounding the far turn and, opening a good lead entering the stretch run, was well in hand in the final sixteenth. DORLA, in close quarters soon after the start and forced to weave way between horses in the stretch run, closed resolutely when clear. GRECIAN TIME, racing on the outside throughout, withstood PRINCESS VERTE at the end. The latter, unable to secure clear racing room in the first quarter, slipped through, on the inside for the drive and finished gamely. CAN-U-TELL showed a good burst of speed from the start, bore out on the turns and was unable to reach the leaders when straightened. INSCOLT, racing in his best form, was under mild restraint in the early stages, was steered to the outside for the last quarter, had clear racing room, responded to strong urging and was up in the closing stride. HE DEVIL forced the pace from the start, came around POPULAR VOTE turning into the stretch, saved ground in the drive and just failed to last. BEAU THOR, racing fofwardly from the start, weaved his way- through between horses in the final eighth and closed strongly. MONKS TIME, in close quarters rounding the far turn and unable to secure racing room in the late stages, finished resolutely in the final seventy yards. BOSTON SOUND, never a great distance back in the early stages and under strong pressure through the stretch run, faltered in the final strides. SUNNY MAC dropped out of it soon after the start and closed gamely. ITO tired in the drive. BLIND STAR, away slowly, failed to respond to strong urging. POPULAR VOTE quit. NYACK was through after the first quarter. EDDIES BROTHER, racing forwardly from the start, was steered to the outside for the drive, displayed strong energy and wore down WHISK K., but could not menace the winner. WHISK K., hustled from the start, gave way to the winner readily and tired near the end. GENIE JR. lacked early speed. JOHNNIE DEAR raced on the outside throughout. PARLOR TRICK had no mishaps. CIVIL WAR was used up in the first half mile. GREENSKI, hustled from the start, failed to respond to stronger pressure in the drive. LADY ROSAMOND had earlv speed. NOGALO, under strong restraint while in close attendance of DOLLY E., moved to the inside of the latter rounding the far turn and, taking command under mild urging, responded to strong riding when challenged in the final eighth to outgame ATHOLTON. The latter, under strong restraint for five-eighths and strongly urged in the final drive, made a bold bid inside the final eighth, but was not good enough. MINEY lacked early speed, was steadied in the run through the back stretch and, steered to the outside for the final drive, finished strongly. NERVOUS LADY, outrun in the early stages, was unable to reach the leaders under pressure in the final drive. DOLLY E., hustled from the start, relinquished the lead under pressure and tired in the final quarter. GLEANING RUTH had a burst of early speed. HAREM QUEEN and HURRY HAWK were never prominent.
