1 LINCOLN FIELDS TURF NOTES t . . Jockey Alcee Richard got in from Fair-mount Park and reported to the stable of E. E. Chanock whose main racing reliance, is Street Arab. Jake Lowenstein sold the horse Morris K. to his nephew, C. L. Lowenstein, who intends to open a public stable. The sale was private. Jockey Carroll Bierman, one of the leading riders at Churchill Downs, checked in and his services are expected to be much in demand here. W. J. Curran today registered ten horses he has quartered at Hawthorne. They are Pats Eye, Pollys Rogue, Roguish Marian and In Seclusion, owned by the estate of J. J. Coughlin; Deep Rock, Refunded, Fair Jule and Its Fair, the property of E. McGrath; and Sly Gal and Honored Miss, owned by F. Robertson. Kirby Ramsey and Robert Ramsey, father and son, arrived from Louisville with their stables. The elder Ramsey has fifteen head and the younger five. Jockey R. L. Vedder is here to do the stables heavy riding. Larry Boyle, custodian of the jockeys quarters, arrived from his home in Louisville. Former jockey Willie Fronk registered two horses, T. Marcus and Viragin, which he brought from Churchill Downs. Robert S. Shelley, who will serve as racing secretary at Arlington Park, is here for a few days on business. He will leave shortly for Winnipeg where he is one of the key officials. J. C. Metz came from Kentucky with the horses Chalphone, Marching Feet, Ma Metz, Oplay, Hi Fella and Julie Pie. Mrs. W. S. Billings, Oklahoma patron, expects to apply for a license to train the horses Sis Waterflag, Bess Waterflag, Boos Double and Josie Do. J. J. Holtman wintered the horses at a farm near here and has been looking after their training. Another prominent addition to the local riding colony is Irving Anderson, the Calumet Farm jockey who rode with such success in Maryland this spring. Clarence E. Davison got in from Fair-mount with sixteen horses headed by the handicap performer and Crete Handicap nominee Chance Ray. Jockey Henry Haucr is with the stable. C. H. Smith is here with Don Creole and Oddesa Knight. They came from Churchill Downs. The three horses A. J. Plack has for I. C. Mishler are the consistent platers Plucky Byrd, Chubbins and Buttons B. Leonard J. Wilson arrived from Kentucky with ten horses he will race at Lincoln Fields for the Lexbrook Stable. Albert Bodiou is with the stable. Some of the large stables which arrived here in the last twenty-four hours were those of A. G. Tarn, J. H. Skiryin, A. C. Ernst, Mrs. R. J. Murphy and C. W. Pershall. Frank Rector is here with three horses for the El Dorado Stable. They are Floragina; I Royal Countess and Twinkle Boot.
