MORT SHAW OPTIMISTIC Noting a sharp increase in racing interest In the Illinois sector this summer, Mort Shaw, Arlington Parks mutuels director, predicted the most successful meeting in several years for the north side course, upon his arrival here after witnessing the Preak-ness and the opening of the Charles Town meeting. Shaw also is mutuels director at Washington Park and Santa Anita.
