VISHNU took command after a quarter, attained a clear lead, offered good contention, but failed to withstand the winners challensc. IDLE BUBBLES, in close quarters earlv moved up when clear, finished with good courage, but was no threat. BILLIE DUNLAP, outpaced for a half mile closed a good gap in a fine performance. MARY VAN TRUMP lacked speed in a poor effort MODERN LASH, rank at the post, failed to be dangerous. ANTE BELLUM tired in the stretch NECHES had early speed. HOT CINDERS showed nothing. PARAVANT, a strong fac*or throughout, held on with good determination under punishment. HIGH DIVER closed a good gap. TRUMONT tired in the stretch. BLOW AWAY had no excuse.
