! NOTED TRAINER DIES | George Conway OCEANPORT, N. J., June 20.— Funeral i services will be held here Thursday for i George II. Conway, trainer of War Admiral, and one of the outstanding figures of turf-I dom for the last forty years. Mr. Conway died last night after suffering from a heart ailment for the past several months. For , the past twenty-five years, he was associated I with Samuel Riddle, owner of Glen Riddle J Farms. He was at one time a stable foreman, and later became a trainer of Riddles famous stable. War Admiral, which won i the three-year-old championship in 1937, was the best of his most famous horses. Mr. Con-: ways death occurred the day prior to War i Admirals arrival in Kentucky, where he enters the stud next year. Mr. Conway is 1 survived by a sister and four brothers. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday morning, first in the deceaseds late i home in Oceanport, at 9 oclock, and later | in St. Dorothys Church, at Eatontown. In-i terment will he in Mt.
