i I NORTH RANDALL TURF NOTES I 14 — —4 I The eleven-horse string of Calumet Farm, being raced here by trainer Jack Hodgins, will ship from here next Saturday to Latonia for the meeting which begins there June 29. Dr. C. N. Finch has just returned here to his stable from a veterinary trip which took him to New York City, Philadelphia and Charlottesville, Va. The placing judges for the remainder of the meeting are William Shelley, Leo Shea ! and Robert Dienst, Jr. The latter two filled I the vacancies made by Robert P. McAuliffe and Tommy Steele, who left Saturday for Arlington Park to serve at that meeting. Jockeys A. F. Martinez, who came from Wheeling, and Melvin Knight, who arrived from Lincoln Fields, are the latest riders to join the local saddle colony. The fourth installment of condition books for the current meeting have been placed for distribution at the secretarys office. Apparently discouraged by his early showing as a rider, apprentice Jack Hooker has decided to give up a riding career and returned to his home in Indiana. Antonio J. Fernandez, leading rider of the meeting, reports that he will ride at the Latonia meeting after this one closes. From Wheeling came the stable of George W. Kinsey, including Genuines Life, Pennant Bearer and Justa Plane. Starter Bill Dalys schooling list now embraces thirteen horses. Some eight horses are now on the stewards list. Julius Reeder has announced that he has 1 postponed until Tuesday noon, June 20, the ! deadline for the closing of nominations for I Saturdays ,500 added North Randall Juve- nile Stakes.
