LINCOLN FIELDS TURF NOTES I $ ♦ Bob Saxton, sports editor of the Cincinnati Enquirer, and Norman McComas. assistant manager of the Gibson Hotel, in Cincinnati, came up from the Queen City for two days of racing at Lincoln Fields. Mrs. J. E. Copenhavers Broadkill was shipped to Omaha and from there he will be placed in a car headed for Vancouver. The other Copenhaver horses will be transferred to Arlington Park. Jockey R. L. Veddcr, who is serving a suspension for foul riding, returned from a visit to Nickerson, Kansas. He is attached to the stable trained by Kirby Ramsey and he will accompany the establishment to Arlington Park. Jack Hanover is transferring the thoroughbreds of Hyman Friedberg and Edwin Axton, Louisville tobacco merchants, to Arlington Park this week-end. Manie OHara is the star of the stable. Mrs. J. M. Hubbard privately purchased Intrip from J. F. ONeil. Dan E. Stewart is taking twelve horses, the property of Joseph E. Widener and Mrs. P. A. B. Widener, to Arlington Park from here. Jockey Warren Yarberry will go along. Cliff Sanford, clerk of scales at Lincoln Fields, was presented with a portable typewriter by the jockeys and valets. The horses John Best is taking to Arlington Park for J. E. Hughes are O.-ofree, Uprising, Straight Card and Doctors Rose. C. E. Dale is taking eight horses to Arlington. They race under the silks of Mrs Dale. William Hamilton is leaving here this week-end for Latonia, where he will do the starting. W. Smith is transferring Lovely Sister and Fair Flag to Latonia. Jockey Harold Beasy will accompany the stable. King Black, the lone member of E C Campbells stable, is to be campaigned at Arlington Park.
