MINT DODGE, prominent from the start and steered to the inside for the final drive, moved into command approaching the final eighth and drew clear in the final forty jards. VALDINA LASS, hustled along from the start, continued gamely when straightened out, but gave way in the final strides. OUACHITA lacked earlv speed and finished gamely. MOODY, away slowly, finished strongly. WITCH BALL broke slowly. SURGEON DICK, away fast, "dropped out of it turning into the stretch. GAY BRIDE, racing in her best form and under anild restraint in the early stages, was steered into the better footing in the stretch and, responding to strong riding, disposed of WILMINGTON in the final forty yards. The latter set the pace under occasional urzing and was strongly urged in the final drive, but was not good enough. RED GO made repeated challen?es, then tired in the final seventy vards. MISS VEP. hustled from the start, continued gamely through the strech, but was no match for the winner. LITTLE BUBBLES slipped through on the inside for the final drive and closed gamely. MARY AI.LIF, under pressure from the start, went wide turning into the stretch, forcing ORIENTAL MISS to the extreme outside and failed to respond when straightened out. COHORT GIRL had no mishaps.
