Won driving: second and third the same. POMPEYS ROSE, away in the first flight, saved ground at the stretch turn and won driving. DOCTORS NURSE set a fast pace, but lost the race by running wide turning for home. HIGH ROSE broke slowly, but closed well under punishment. MAE CALL, used up forcing the pace, tired in the stretch. SHAILLEEN crossed legs and fell leaving the back stretch. MISS PILGRIM disliked the going and was eased up. The others were outrun.
