t 1 PREPARE DADE PARK BOOKS Tri- State Meeting Slated to Open on Saturday, August 5. Twenty-Six Days of Sport on Calendar of Track — Governors Handicap for Purse of ,500. OWENSBORO, Ky., June 24.— The first condition book for the sixteenth annual summer meeting of the Dade Park Jockey Club is being prepared in the offices of the club at Owensboro and an attractive racing program is assured the fans of the tri-state territory. The meeting will open Saturday, August 5, and continue twenty-six days, ending Monday, September 4, Labor Day. The feature races during the meeting are expected to attract some of the best thoroughbreds in training to the western Kentucky track. The Inaugural Handicap, for three-year-olds and upward, at six furlongs, will carry a purse of ,000. The Dade Park Handicap, for three-year-olds and upward, at a mile and forty yards, for a purse of ,000, will be run Saturday, August 12. The Governors Handicap, at one mile, will be run Saturday, August 19. It is for a purse of ,500, for three-year-olds and upward. DADE MEMORIAL. The A. B. Dade Memorial Handicap will be run over a route of six furlongs, for three-year-olds and upward, for a purse of ,000, on Saturday, August 26. The A. M. Fisher Handicap, for two-year-olds, at six furlongs, will be run Saturday, September 2. The purse is ,000. The closing-day feature, the Labor Day Handicap, for three-year-olds and upward, at one mile and a furlong, for a purse of ,000, will be run Monday, September 4. James C. Ellis, president of the Dade Park Jockey Club, voices the opinion that the coming meeting will be one of the most successful in the history of the track. a
