PRUM, hustled to the front, was taken in hand when challenged, regained the lead when ready, increased his advantage in the drive and won easily. SYMPATHIZER worked his way forward on the outside and finished well. COLONEL MARTIS improved his position rapidly after a quarter, was sent to the inside in the drive and finished strongly. BERT W. bore out badly on the lower turn, but took command while being straightened, drew clear under light urging, then was put to strong pressure when threatened and tired under pressure. TAKUS, going in his best form and rushed to the front, drew clear after a quarter, responded well when tiring in the drive and just lasted. MISS TAD, slow to begin and in close quarters while improving her position, came to the outside of the winner in the drive and would have been up in another stride. PALATINE BELLE, a strong factor from the start, tired after reaching the final eighth. GALA NUTTER improved her position on the inside. MY BLAZE, badly ridden and taken back repeatedly when in close quarters, was steered to the outside in the stretch, hut failed to make up any ground. ROYAL CHARM raced wide and was done after a half mile. MASKED PLANE quit. Overweight — Palatine Belle, 1 pound. Apprentice allowance waived — Thirty. UPHOLD sprinted into a clear lead during the opening quarter, increased his advantage under steadying restraint and won easily. THE SPOTTER, hustled along from the start, failed to menace the winner, but held on well. ADORESS, outrun early, moved up on the outside in the drive and closed with a rush. GLAD FRANCIS, a strong factor from the start, tired. BRIGHT dropped back soon after the start, raced wide thereafter and showed nothing under listless handling. HALF SHOES had early speed. The latter began fast, but. taken in hand when outrun, improved his position on the outside, was under strong urging after reaching the stretch and hung in the final stride. STAR BOARDER, away slowly, raced forwardly on the inside, was in close quarters nearing the final quarter, came fast when clear and finished strongly. PRINCE ARGO. hustled to the front, was unable to draw clear and tired near the end. TRAFFIC LIGHT began from outside ot the stalls and showed nothing. TEDDY HASLAM was outrun. IMPERIAL SIR broke from the gate and crashed into the fence before the start, dropped back after a half mile, raced forwardly on the extreme outside and closed with a rush. AUTOGRAPH, well up from the start and reserved early, moved forwardly when ready, was in close quarters after offering a bold bid approaching the final quarter and tired in the last stages. BOMBER took command at the start, alternated with GOLDEN ERA at pacemaking for seven eighths and tired after reaching the final eighth.
