OMAHA, Neb., June 24.— An excellent program of eight races, featured by the Kings Plate Handicap, for three-year-olds and upward, and engaging the best sprinters on the grounds, was the principal reason why 12,000 racegoers made their way into the spacious Ak-Sar-Ben plant today. Summer-like weather and a fast track prevailed for the various events, which were keenly contested, and bristling finishes were in order throughout the day. The main attraction, a three-quarters test, brought out such notables as Mrs. E. H. Beezleys Sobriety, M. Whitebrooks Jokester, Mrs. J. C. Sawyers Polaris, Mitchell Henderson and Palmers His Girl, J. A. Dennis Whistling Boy and others. There was little to choose as a favorite, but Whistling Boy had many admirers, while Jokester, His Girl, Polaris and Sobriety were well sunoorted.
