BIG FLASH was hustled along early, found racing room on the inside to take the lead in the last eighth and came away under strong urging. TITILATOR was forced to race between horses, rallied to a hard drive and finished with cood courage. PICTOR was in the thick of contention from the start, was bumped by LAST CALL midway of the stretch, then held on stoutly. GREY WOLF had a lot of speed from the start and continued willingly to the end. LAST CALL was used up getting to the front and tired. SUN SUPERLETTE broke into the air at the start, then finished stoutly when in stride. CLOSE TO was outrun. CIRCUS tired. TIME OWAR showed early speed, but could not keep up. The others were outrun. MAEWHISK was ridden hard and held on with good courage. FIRST FLING lacked early speed, then bushed willingly. CHANCE WATCH could not get clear while setting the pace and tired. DRIFT ALONG, handled strongly and prominent early, withstood a hard drive willingly in the late stages and outlasted MY ELSIE. The latter had a iot of speed to race close up from the start, gained a short lead in the last eighth, but could not withstand the winner. PHARA BELLE, lacking early speed, settled in stride and finished full of run in the closing test. CARNAGE raced close up early and made a strone bid on the final turn, then tired under punishment. JUSTA FLIGHT, a slow beeinner. closed an immense gap. SUN LOVER, away well, dropped hack badly going to the first turn, moved up stroncly on the final turn, secured racing room on the inside to encage EIGHT THIRTY, then withstood a ter ous drive to get up in the concluding strides. EIGHT THIRTY, steadied nicely hack of the leaders, made bis run on the final turn, moved into a short lead entering the stretch and fouiht it out with cood enercy to the finish. CHALLEDON, kept under light pressure in the early running, saved ground and came with good courage when placed to a drive. HASH, reserved off the early pace, improved his position st i ly, but CeuU not engage the leaders. GILDED KNIGHT raced prominently, but was not good enoueh. AFFAIR challenged boldly on the inside of THELLlSSON on the final turn, then tired. THIRD DEGREE could not keep up. THELLLSSON displayed high speed to set the pace, but flattened out when challenged. The latter worked his way forward gradually, moved up to the winner nearing the stretch, but tired under punishment in the last eighth. REX FLAG, rated hack of the leaders, finished gamely when shaken up. but could not engage the first two. NEDAYR dropped back early and was unable to enter contention. ARABS ARROW could not keep up after holding a forward position. CHALLEPHEN was never a factor and had no speed. HONEY CLOUD failed to get clear when hurried to the front and quit. ABMERES was well placed from the start and made a strong challenge on the final turn, then tired nearing the close. GERALD was prominent, but was not good enough. GRAND DAY raced well throughout. BABY TALK, handling his weight well, was saved off the early pace for the first seven-eighths, swung to the outside when shaken up, closed determinedly and was up in the last strides. LADY ROMA, rated forwardly, moved up strongly when placed to a drive, gained a short lead in the last eighth and fought it out stoutly while finishing between horses. A claim of loul against the winner was not allowed. LOURDES, steadied early, came through on the inside at the stretch turn and held on resolutely. CAREFUL MISS finished strongly. TVR set a eood pace, but failed to stav. GOLDEN VEIN was steered very wide for the entire trip. PORTUNUS raced in dull fashion. DARK SUN tired early. Overweight — Lourdes, 1 pound.
