CLEVELANDS RECORD CROWD Thirteen Thousand Fans Journey to North Randall — Accident Occurs in Third Race on Program. CLEVELAND, Ohio, June 24.— Upwards of 13,000 people visited the North Randall track this afternoon to see the finest days racing offered in the first twenty-five days of this thirty-three-day meeting. As a hot sun beamed from above, the eight-race program was decided over a "slow" track. The North Randall Juvenile Handicap, a dash for two-year-olds over five I furlongs, was the feature of the day, drawing j a limit field of twelve starters. Mrs. E. H. Augustus Scorch and W. J. Delcambres Grace D. were the early afternoon choices for the ,500 added event. The largest crowd of the meeting cheered little apprentice Jack Flinchum, 16-year-old youngster, when he completed a double victory, riding Mrs. James Bronnenbergs Thistle Dick to victory in the second, and M. J. Bransfields Maid Marie to triumph in the third. A mishap occurred in the third, jockey Frank Grill sustaining a broken collar-bone when Glimmerlee fell with him soon after the start. I The flying Distract, owned by Harris and Cozart, broke on top, to lead all the way in the Ice Revue Purse, secondary feature of the days racing. He won the mile affair by one and one-quarter lengths, Robert Mozers Alan Chicle taking second place by a head margin from Parkwood Chief, which carried the silks of R. J. Dienst. Miss Ethel, lightly regarded, drove to victory in the featured North Randall Juvenile Handicap, to register another all-Texas triumph. Ridden by jockey Don Scurlock, i Dallas lad, she carried the colors of Dr. J. A. Blackwell, her Texas owner and breeder, to win by the scant margin of a nose. The two-year-old miss flashed to victory the same way she won in her last start here — leading all the way. Mrs. E. H. Augustus Scorch, the favorite, held his place position safe by three lengths from Baby Therese, owned by Jewell Bros. Miss Ethels performance netted owner Blackwell ,420. A
