ONE ONLY was sent up on the outsid f BULMONT to assume command nearlng the half-mile pole, saved ground thereafter and increased the advantage swiftly in the stretch. GOOSE FEATHER, allowed to settle into best stride, came between horses in tht stretch and closed well. NOVIEW was never far from the pace, but could not menace the winner. PLAYING POMP raced evwily. SIR IMP gave way steadily in the stretch. MANEEN was unable to improve his position. FELT HAT was well placed in the early stretch while saving ground, then weakened.
