BILL COFFMAN attained the lead with the start, held sway throughout and won easily. DRINTOWN rallied mildly to be easily best of the others, but was no match for the winner. LECHE HOMBRE lacked a rally. INVULNERABLE was through after the first mile. KORDOFAN showed nothing. SUN BAHRAM improved his position gradually and wore down MARCION from the outside. The latter displaced FENLAND from the inside, but could not resist the winner. MAGNA CHARTA, slow to settle in stride, closed willingly, but could not reach the top pair. SAILING ON lacked a rally after racing just off the leaders from the start DOUBLE BRANDY closed with good energy. FENLAND attained a commanding early lead, but quit badly in the drive. FLICKA FOOT set the pace after disposing of SUN BUD, held on rather well, but was no match for the winner. BY ME raced in close attendance to the pace, but lacked a rally. SUN BUD showed good speed, but could not outrun FLICKA FOOT. A. LADY failed to respond. EASY ACE rallied too late. ABBES IMAGE was knocked out of contention leaving the back-stretch. BUCKO quit. NORMRICH set the pace without serious opposition, but flattened out badly. NANCY PANSY closed well after being in close quarters, early. COVERT SIDE challenged midway of the turn and faltered badly thereafter. WARY FLIGHT was forwardly placed from the beginning, held on - gamely and came back a bit lame. DON OSULLIVAN caught tired horses while racing evenly.
