Havre de Grace Sets 2:15 Post Time For Summer Meet Opening Tuesday HAVRE DE GRACE, Md., June 29. Resorting to a summer, meeting in order to avert a complete conflict with race courses in this area, the Harford Agricultural and Breeders Association will stage its second session of the year, with 11 days of sport to get under way Tuesday, July 6. Despite the promise of sweltering weather during the -mid-July session, officials predict, and hope for, a sizable increase in attendance and wagering over the marks established during the April meeting. Post time during the summer meeting will be 2:15 p. m., which means that the days finale will go postward at approximately 5 :45 p. m. Eastern Daylight Time. This should prove especially interesting to the patrons in that they will have sufficient time to reach their homes before darkness sets in. Racing patrons who like the Daily Double form of Wagering will find it possible to indulge in this popular pastime with the return to the sport to the course by the Susquehanna. These same patrons have been unable to wager on the Daily Double since the Pimlico meeting terminated, since neither Delaware Park or Garden State offers this form of betting. As in the past, the first and second races will constitute the Daily Double, with the mutuels closing 15 minutes before post time for the first race.
