Juveniles Hold Delaware Spotlight Noble Impulse Vies With Seven in Dover Oglebay Colt Takes Up 125 Whjle Meeting Warmonger, Ennobled and Parliament DELAWARE PARK, Stanton, Del., June 29. Eight juveniles, including several of the most promising youngsters seen in competition this season, have been named overnight for the tenth running of the 0,000 added Dover Stakes, mid-week feature at Delaware Park. The Dover, final important fixture of the meeting for two-year-olds, has attracted a star-studded field, and indications are that the event will develop into a keenly contested, swiftly run five and a half furlongs. Top weight in the field is Crispin Oglebays Noble Impulse, under 125 pounds. Others named overnight are Walter M. Jeffords Warmonger, William G. Helis Ennobled, Christiana Stables Parliament, Elmendorf Farms Whiffenpoof, Henry L. Straus Cockofthewalk, Hazel B. MacCrowes Eternal Danger, and William F. Hitts Gala-man. To select a probable wagering choice in the Dover is a difficult task, but it is quite possible that Warmonger will be elevated to the post of honor. Warmonger, a son of Teddys Comet War Hysteria, was a very disappointing participant in the colt division of Belmont Parks National Stallion Stakes, but that marked his first poor effort. He has since been freshened up and trials assure his present fitness. Prior to the National Stallion, Warmonger won his only two races at Havre de Grace, equaling a 30-year-old track record of :46 for a half mile in his debut. 5,000 Yearling Purchase Ennobled, a 5,000 yearling acquisition, has given indication that he may be well worth his purchase price. The son of Count Fleet and Galagay has won two of his four utarts and, in his most recent essay, reeled ff five-eighths of a mile in :58 to whip the highly regarded Swap Out. Ennobled was shipped from New York with this particular race in mind, which indicates that he is held in high esteem by his handlers. Noble Impulse, a hard-hitting son of Bull Dog Uvira n was the winner of the recent Christiana Stakes over this track, galloping home more than three lengths in Advance of Big Nose. One of the largest, and best looking, colts seen on the circuit this year is Parliament, a home-bred by the Christiana Stables young stallion, Half Crown. This strapping colt graduated from the maiden ranks during the Pimlco meeting and came out of the race with bucked shins. Trainer Henry Clark was forced to let up on his training and it was not until last Saturday that Parliament returned to competition. A mighty sharp horse he was, too, for he sped five and a half furlongs in 1:02, which was just one second slower than the track record established by Walter M. Jeffords Pavot in 1944. The Montchanin Handicap series will have its fifth and final running tomorrow and seven marathon performers have been named to match speed and stamina at a mile and six furlongs for the ,500 purse. Included in tomorrows field are H. Hessey Millers Hearth Mouse and Lawndale Stables Alacrity, who have garnered 54 and 48 points, respectively. Hearth Mouse has earned a share of each of the four previous runnings, while Alacrity has competed in only the last two, winning both of them. Since last weeks victory. Alacrity was stepped up in class to compete in the Kia-mensi Handicap on Saturday, and turned in a commendable effort
