; ! s I s r Coaltown in Final Move For Skokie Engagement Breezes Six Furlongs in 1:14 For Tomorrows Arlington Stake ARLINGTON PARK, Arlington Heights, HI., June 29. The Calumet Farms Coal-town showed that he has lost none of his fine speed when he breezed three-quarters of a mile this morning in 1 :14, as his final move for Thursdays 0,000 Skokie Handicap, in which he is an intended starter. The even is at six furlongs, and is for three-year-olds. Coaltown went the first half in :48, and was never pressed for speed at any time. Trainer H. A. "Jimmy" Jones expressed satisfaction after the move and reiterated that the Skoki6 is his next engagement. Coaltown is to be the starting top-weight in the stake, with 124 pounds. The three-year-old champion, Citation, is still eligible, and has drawn 128 pounds, but Jones is biding his time with the senational performer, awaiting events closer to the Arlington Classic before returning his charge to action. Early indications point to a battle of "speed" between Coaltown and Phar Mon. The latter is regarded as one of the fastest breaking horses in the country. He will be receiving 14 pounds from Coaltown, and their fight for early pace could easily prove one of the highlights of the race.
